The farmhouse Bombina is located near Siena, between S. Giovanni d'Asso and Montisi: at the boundary between "Crete Senesi", "Val d'Orcia" and "Val d'Asso". Carefully reorganized by the owners, with love and care in the details, the farmhouse Bombina offers the typical comforts of the tuscan tradition. The farmhouse is surrounded by fourty hectars of fields, cultivated with corn and sunflowers; this made the landscape more and more beautifull as the seasons change. Two olive tree groves and more than 700 olive trees garnish the borders of the fields. The history of the farmhouse Bombina is very fascinating: early informations on it dated back to the 1800: at the land office of Siena is reported that in the 1832 the owner was Martinozzi Leopoldo di Buonaventura, and the two buildings were used, respectively, as an house and as a brick-kiln. Afterward the property passed to the "Spedale Santa Maria della Scala", as prooved by a coat of arms, made of stone, found during the restoration.
