The bed and breakfast 'Romi's Garden' is found in an old house which served as a small Benedictine convent in the Middle Ages. 'Romi's Garden' is located in a green and peaceful valley on the border between Umbria and Tuscany. The valley is called Valdipierle, named after the 'Rocca di Pierle'. This particular castle dates back to 1200 and is therefore the oldest castle in the area. The furnishings are comfortable and welcoming and the space accomodates 24 guests. The building is surrounded by a large garden complete with chairs, tables, a barbeque, and a small organic vegetable garden. Free Wifi can be found indoors and out. 'Romi's Garden' is about 1 kilometer from Mercatale, in the district of Cortona. Mercatale has all the essential services available: a bar/cafe, a supermarket, banks, medical services and pharmacies.
