About
Palazzo Poggioni, also known as "Villa I Lecci", is a stunning historic residence of the early 1900, with breathtaking views of Lake Trasimeno and the surrounding countryside of Umbria and Tuscany. The property located in Tuoro sul Trasimeno, at the border line of Umbria and Tuscany, was built by the Poggioni family who are still, after a century, the current owners. Palazzo Poggioni features a four storey arrangement of self-catered, various size, apartments with internal lift. The palazzo can accommodate either couples, families or group of friends that wish to enjoy their holiday together and at the same time maintain a full independence within their accommodation. The interior of the apartments is dominated by period features and antique pieces of furniture creating a warm atmosphere of elegance, relaxation and comfort. The private gardens that surround the property are scattered with flowers, matured plants, trees and the typical greenery of the Umbrian countryside. The guests can also enjoy moments of relaxation and re-freshness at the east facing private swimming pool located in the middle of the gardens. Palazzo Poggioni is strategically located in the heart of Tuoro sul Trasimeno, a typical countryside village with its shops and restaurants in walking distance from the property. Furthermore, for the enthusiasts of Italian art and way of life, Palazzo Poggioni is only a few tens of kilometres away from a handful of the most picturesque and historic destinations of Italy such as Cortona, Siena, Montepulciano, Perugia and Assisi.
