Museo Casa Galimberti
About
The house is situated on the so called in italian 'noble' floor of the Osasco Palace. According to the will it was left for 'the purposes of culture and education'.Inside you will find a rich collection of art works, a library and an archive. Visiting the Galimberti house is like taking a step back in time. Its rooms and atmosphere take visitors back to the first half of the twentieth century. The museum Casa Galimberti is located in a house that served as the Galimberti family home from the second half of the nineteenth century onwards. A family whose affairs were interwoven with the history of both the city and the nation. The central piazza of Cuneo is dedicated to Tancredi Junior (1906-1944), Duccio, lawyer, partisan commander of the formations of Justice and Liberty and a national hero of the Resistance. Works of important painters and sculptors decorate the house. We recall, amongst others, the paintings of Lorenzo Delleani, Matteo Olivero, Giacomo Grosso, Giuseppe Sacheri.
