Just a few kilometers from Florence there is an area rich in art, history and tradition called Casentino: here it's born the Calistro, a fast and street bistrot that wants to bring the typical cuisine of this wonderful place in Tuscany, in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Florence. The "Tortello alla Lastra" is the typical product you can taste here: a genuine dish made from simple ingredients, with ancient origins (cooked on serene stone plates, CALISTRO in local dialect) and unique flavor, prepared by wise hands of the masserie of a village hidden in the green mountains of the Apennines. The "Tortello alla Lastra" as well as many other typical dishes of Tuscany, are present in a menu where tradition is presented and revised in our own way. We are open both a lunch and a dinner! You can also come to Calistro for an aperitif on the "Lungarno" in the company of a nice glass of wine from our own cellar or a handmade beer accompanied by our half portions, platter of sliced and our mini tortello!
