Foresteria Valdese Firenze
About
The lodge is situated in the heart of the Oltrarno quarter, a few minutes walk from the Old Bridge. Palazzo Salviati a treasure trove of numerous works of art, was built in the mid-1600s and purchased in 1861 by the Presbyterian Church of Ireland, wich donated it to the Waldesian Board. Since 1922, the same building has also been the seat of the Gould Institute with its hospitality services and activities for the formation and support of minors suffering social hardships. The lodge was created in the late 1960s precisely to sustain the cost of the children's Institute. The structure consists of 39 rooms with bath, of different types-from singles to rooms for up to five person- suitable for individual travellers, families, couple and groups.
