Is it a tasting? A meal? No, it’s a journey into the passions passed down from our fathers. The first, Marco was a renowned olive and extra virgin olive oil expert. The other, Rosario was chef at Sabatini in Florence for over 30 years. We start with a tour of “Il Parco della Pia” and tell it’s story through the eyes of a young Piero Calamandrei as told in his book, “The Inventory of the house in the country.” We then open Rosario's recipe book and pair it with Marco's vision that high quality olive oil is fundamental ingredient and not a secondary condiment. We pair each tasting with one of our 5 organic wines and finish with “Pendolato” - homemade gelato made with Pendolino olive oil. Same name ~ Marta, same street ~ Faltignano, same passion.
