Amid hillside olive groves and chestnut woods, enjoy panoramic views of the Arno valley at the historic country house Morniano, 20 km south of Florence. Built of stone and ancient ceiling timbers, the house contains a lovely rental apartment. It contains a large kitchen with a fireplace, a bedroom with a double bed, a living/bedroom with 2 single beds and a bath. Facing south, it is beautifully furnished with antique country furniture. The apartment was renovated 9 years ago but retains its historical characteristics. The foundation of the house was built in the 12th century. The building was enlarged in the 17th century and completed in 1658. Historically, Morniano was a place that offered hospitality for pilgrims on their way to Rome. A holiday in Morniano means a direct contact with nature and at the same time the possibility to reach easily the most important artistic and historical sites of Tuscany.
