About

Villa Le Monache was formerly a convent used by the Nuns of the Congregation of San Filippo Neri of Florence from the early 20th century, as a retreat and as a place of rest in the Tuscan countryside, for growing vegetables and teaching embroidery and catechism to the younger generations. Later the structure became private property and was called “Podere La Volpaia” and was later purchased and completely renovated by Carmine Cozzolino becoming an ideal holiday location and the home to the Cooking Academy. The Villa has six finely furnished rooms, a brand new fully-equipped kitchen where cooking courses are also held and large spaces for convivial gatherings. Outside, there is a magnificent swimming pool and 12 hectares of land with woods, vineyards, olive groves, fruit trees and a splendid market garden. Located at 450 metres above sea level, it is the ideal place for going on walks in the countryside and for taking part in other activities which vary from season to season.
