From its vantage point high up on the hills, the Fattoria la Capitana overlooks one of the most beautiful stretches of the Maremma coastline. Jewels such as the island of Giglio, the fortress of Talamone and the whole of the Argentario appear to be within reach and everything is enveloped in the peace of the gentle surrounding hills.The Fattoria (an 18th century structure of around 3,000 sq. m.) is still surrounded by a centuries-old olive-grove, the sight of which brings back memories of the past, when the old oil-mill was driven by horses, or when the harvest was followed by days of feverish activity inside the splendid stone cellars: perfectly preserved and still used to this day, as is the delightful chapel.Today the Fattoria boasts a number of different structures which can be combined to satisfy any requirement: there is a farm holiday complex consisting of apartments, a manor house and some old barns which have been renovated to produce two 150 sq. m. halls.The big garden in front of the Fattoria is actually a terrace overlooking the sea, opposite the Argentario promontory, with a wonderful heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The spa of Terme di Saturnia, the Parco Naturale dell’Uccellina Nature Park and the sea are all just a few minutes away by car.There are various activities: horse riding, golf, tennis and trekking routes (in structures with which the Fattoria has stipulated special agreements).In addition to offering the chance of an unforgettable holiday in the gentle countryside of Magliano in Tuscany, the Fattoria is also the ideal place for photo shoots, filming for television programs and commercials, as well as organizing wedding receptions and similar events.
