Villa Chiara is a neoclassical 18th century villa full of old world grace which unites the charm of a vintage property with the rhythms of rustic country life. Built in the open countryside of Salento, Puglia, and sheltered from the intense Italian summer heat by its thick walls of tuff stone volcanic rock, it stands regally in the midst of olive groves. A 10 minute walk from the villa leads you to the natural marine reserve of Porto Selvaggio. A short drive by car will take you to other sandy and rocky beaches that make up the famous Salento peninsula.Every morning breakfast is served in the interior garden of the villa, amidst the fruit trees, in a friendly family environment, to start in the best of ways, your days and stay in discovering Salento.A different variety of homemade cake is served every day, with freshly baked bread and an assortment of homemade jams and marmalades, the delicious variations of “pucce” local bread, the sweet variety with almonds and raisins, as well as the savoury version with olives and “pizzi” with capsicum and tomatoes.
