Chiostro dei Domenicani is a 15th-century Dominican Monastery with more than 10 years’ experience as a Wedding & Events Venue. Our profetional and experienced team welcomes the newlyweds and their guests in a refined and suggestive location in the heart of southern Italy-Salento. Our 10.000 square meters venue allows the Couple to experience the perfect Wedding thanks to its magical central Cloister, wide and bright halls, magnificent 15th-century frescos and excellent Italian cuisine. History The Cloister of “San Domenico fuori le mura” represents one of the most emblematic symbols of the artistic and cultural production in Salento. At the beginning of 1800 the Monastery started to decline, however in 1823 the Monastery returned to its original function. In 1990 the Dominican Cloister was purchased by “Memmo Association” who donate the building its original majesty, thanks to many renovation works. Today the Cloister is a charming location for artistic and cultural events.
