Relais Monastero Santa Teresa
About
The Relais Monastero Santa Teresa, a historical monument, is a Baronial Palace of the 13th century, which was converted into a cloistered Monastery of the Discalced Carmelites in 1600 following the donation of Baron Sambiasi to the church. Today, the Relais is part of an "Albergo Diffuso" composed of three noble palaces in the old town centre of Nardò, offering several services such as a gourmet resturant with panoramic terraces and an outdoor pool reserved to two special Suites. The Monastero offers itself as an ideal place to spend a relaxing holiday in an ancient and prestigious building, near the most beautiful beaches of Salento, the National Park of Porto Selvaggio and the most important baroque towns. The spacious bright rooms with antique floors and frescoed ceilings recall the charm of the nobility from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. The balconies and terraces of the Palazzo offer breathtaking views onto baroque churches and the garden. The ground floor with its impressive high vaults sculptured by Tarantino and the medieval church, identifies itself as the perfect place for any type of ceremony and event.
