The hut is located on the Mount Muggio slopes, in Alta Valsassina, in the Casargo county. The closest city is Lecco, located 40 km away. Breathtaking views on Lake Como and Lake Lugano; to the West Mount Rosa and Cervino, Monviso and the Alps; to the North and East the Bergamasque Prealps, from Mount Legnone to Pizzo dei Tre Signori; to the South Grignone and Valsassina. From the hut, you can enjoy many easy mountain trails. The structure, completely renovated in 2008, is owned by the Spazzadeschi family, who has lived in Giumello since 1987, owner also of the Capanna Vittoria refuge. Rooms are all with bathrooms and balconies overlooking the stunning view. Friendly family environment and delicious local cuisine with several traditional dishes. The structure offers an amazing open-air equipped terrace. In the attic, you can find wood and the 'Friendship room' full of memories of our journeys in Tibet, India, Patagonia. All this is at your disposal at only 1.30 hours from Milan.
