About
In Pescia there is a place that tells five centuries of printing and typography which is also the story of a farsighted family linked to tradition, but with an eye to the future: it is the “Benedetti” printing house, the first printing house in Pescia and most likely the first printing house in Tuscany. As evidence of this, at the entrance to the laboratory, an inscription on the walls recalls that in these rooms a Florentine typographer, Francesco Cenni, printed on February 28, 1485 "The confessions of San Bernardino da Siena", the first book printed in the city.
