About

Nuraghe Santu Antine, locally known as *Sa domo de su re* (the king's house), is one of the largest and most elaborate Nuragic monuments in Sardinia. Constructed between the 19th and 15th centuries BCE, the structure centers on a 23‑24 m high main tower that rests on a 15 m diameter base and originally housed three stacked tholoi chambers. An extensive network of 27 m long corridors, built with the distinctive corbel‑arch technique, runs through the complex, and three wells were integrated into the design. The site sits in the heart of the Cabu Abbas plain near Torralba and offers a striking example of the sophisticated dry‑stone engineering that characterizes the Nuragic civilization.
