Cantine Florio
About
Cantine Florio, founded by Vincenzo Florio in 1833, is a historic winery overlooking the bright sea of western Sicily. The cellars are built of tuff stone and house more than 3,000 oak barrels that age Marsala Florio in a climate where wind and sea influence the flavour. The site attracts roughly 50,000 visitors each year, who can explore the high vaulted chambers, enjoy guided tastings of the classic and contemporary Marsala ranges, and relax on the open terrace — the Terrazza Florio – that offers panoramic views of the Mediterranean. With its blend of architectural heritage, maritime atmosphere, and award‑winning wines, Cantine Florio is a must‑visit destination for wine lovers, history enthusiasts and families alike. The winery also hosts events, meetings and private celebrations in the historic nave, the terrace and the dedicated meeting rooms. Guests are encouraged to contact the hospitality team by e‑mail (visitaflorio@cantineflorio.it) for details and bookings. A visit typically lasts around 90 minutes, during which guests appreciate the cellars, the treasure‑filled wine shop, the tasting rooms and the maritime terraces.
