Here, in colourful Piazza Galuppi, in a traditional 1700's Burano building, you'll find the Factory of Emilia, a boutique and workshop, where for four generations, Emilia has passionately nurtured the creative magic behind the world's most important lace, "Burano". Everyday we at Emilia welcome visitors from all over the world with the same warmth and friendliness we greet visitors at our home. Inside our store, master crafters work their magic, jealously guarding their lace making secrets, and passing them on like family heirlooms from mother to daughter. One flight up, in the family museum, there is a collection of 18th century wedding garments and antique pieces of lace that tell our family history. Kings, princes, sheiks, film and sports personalities, and all who love " Style and Design" will appreciate our design studio, which skilfully combines this magnificent antique handwork with the elegance of modem surroundings, in creations of linens for the home made exclusively by hand
