About

In the beautiful surroundings of restaurant Wildner's veranda you can enjoy some of the best traditional food in Venice, whilst being inebriated by the view of the lagoon. Restaurant Wildner was established in 1960 by the Fullin Family and it is visited by locals and tourists alike. Its comfortable and unhurried atmosphere is enhanced by the spectacular panoramic view of St Mark's Basin. Each day Luca Fullin selects the very best seasonal ingredients from Rialto market and from the network of suppliers we have spent a lifetime gathering. The ingredients are then prepared and cooked with care and simplicity, in order to make them shine thorugh a menu of traditional Venetian dishes. The menu is based mainly on fish and features classics like Baccala Mantecato, Sarde in Saor and Antipasto Misto, as well as a seasonal selection of dishes. The wines are all handpicked by Luca, who personally visits the vineyards to select the best natural wines, produced in small quantities and without the use of any artificial additives or chemicals. The restaurant is open all day, and is the perfect place to enjoy a truly Venetian dining experience, with the gondolas and the Island of San Giorgio as the most beautiful backdrop to a romantic dinner or a special occasion. Wildner is in the "Slow Food Chef Alliance". By using Slow Food Presidia in the menus, they support small scale local producers who use traditional methods and safeguard native breeds and local plant varieties.
