The palace was built in the ‘500 with a refined and upper middle-class style architecture as well as lombard style features. Bernardi’s Family, which used to carry out the colours’ trade in Giudecca since ancient times, aquired the palace at the end of the 600’ . Only after the half of the XYIII century it was renovated and newly decorated with exquisite Rococo style paintings by Diziani and Fontebasso. It is said that was precisley Bortolo Bernardi to commision those paintings among which the famous “Il Concerto” – “Il carro di Apollo” – “Flora con amoroni”. The documentation shows that one of the paintings “ Sacrificio d’Ifigeria” is now exhibited at the Museum of Budapest. In 1841 Giovanna Bernardi Graziosi gives the entire estate to Pietro Naratovich who built the right side of the palace to make it his print shop. Instead, we do not have certain knowledge about when the entire palace became one of the Bollani family dwellings from which the current denomination "Ca Bollani". To date, the Palace Ca Bollani-Riva Palace has been completely revised by architects and surveyors in respect of historical constraints. On the site of the printing press 13 apartments of various sizes and types were made; some of them overlook the canal, others overlook Bollani courtyard and two of them have a wonderful roof terrace (altana) with an amazing view of Venice. The Residenza d'Epoca, however, has not changed in the construction itself, but only the 5 existing apartments were revisited with new furniture and new lightings, all the frescoes and precious wood have been completely restored and the Venetian’s terrazzo and red marble floors were maintained. On the ground floor a laundry area with washer and dryer was created. It is obvioulsly available to all of the guests. All apartments are equipped with air conditioning, heating and free Wi Fi line. Bed linen-towels- small soaps and shampoo kits are included in the price and guaranteed to all guests. Upon arrival, we will deliver a list of restaurants and shops in the surrounding area, as well as a map of Venice. The apartment is located in the historic center of Venice. Within walking distance you will find: the famous Rialto Bridge is the oldest and most important bridge in Venice, the famous fish market and the typical Baccari, the typical restaurant or bar where you can drink a glass of wine and taste the delights of Venice. A few minutes walk from the apartment you can reach one of the most amazing squares in the world: Piazza San Marco with its incredible monuments, its elegant cafes and very elegant shops.
