Frida
About
Frida is an intimate, hidden gem tucked behind a modest gate on Via Pollaiuolo in Milan’s trendy Isola district. The moment you cross the threshold, a lush courtyard of plants, murals and a moon‑shaped chandelier greets you, setting a relaxed, bohemian tone that carries into the cozy bar and bistro. The venue serves a daily‑changing chef’s menu full of fresh Italian ingredients — from zuppe and primi to wood‑grilled meats, seasonal salads, and homemade desserts — as well as a selection of open‑bar cocktails, craft beers and Italian wines. With no reservations accepted, the best tip is to arrive early and soak up its lively, late‑night atmosphere. In addition to food and drink, Frida also houses a small shop called Cortile 68, where visitors can browse unique fashion, jewellery, artwork, and attend occasional workshops. When you’re ready to shift the scene, the venue offers a bright, 100‑square‑metre open‑space room that can be booked for events, presentations, or photography shoots, complete with audio‑visual equipment, climate control, and wi‑fi.
