About

Kartell Museo, awarded by the “Guggenheim Impresa & Cultura Award” in 2000, was established by President Claudio Luti with the aim of conserving, promoting and enhancing the company’s material and intangible cultural heritage of Kartell. Its collections consist of more than 8,000 objects, 5,000 designs and 15,000 photographs that together recreate a precise picture of Kartell’s history, the plastic materials adopted, the production technologies and the strategies used over the course of the company’s life. Kartell Museo is housed in the company’s general headquarters in Noviglio, designed by Anna Castelli Ferrieri and Ignazio Gardella in the Sixties. The museum’s exhibition, designed by Ferruccio Laviani and curated by Elisa Storace, includes the most interesting objects produced by Kartell from 1949 to date such as car accessories, household goods, lamps and furniture which have entered into our daily lives and in the design museums as iconic objects of Italian design.
