About
The Teatro degli Arcimboldi, built on the former Pirelli tire factory in Milan’s Bicocca district, opened its doors in 2002 to keep the city’s opera and musical life alive while La Scala was restored. The modern, fan‑shaped auditorium seats 2,375 and hosts a diverse program that ranges from classical opera and ballet to contemporary pop concerts and jazz festivals. Its striking architecture, designed by Vittorio Gregotti, Mario Botta, and Elisabetta Fabbri, blends industrial heritage with contemporary artistic ambition, making it a must‑visit venue for theatre lovers and cultural tourists alike.
