The word "Sena" is connected to the theme of water in the Arabian Garden. In the Koran the garden is a metaphor for heaven, a place of delight and pleasures, wherein one reaches full happiness; Arabs indeed used to call their orange-grove "Allah’s Garden." Still nowadays in Sicily orange and lemon-grove are called "Gardens." In a "Garden" eighteen hectares wide lies the agriturismo "Antica Sena." Guests can choose between eight independent apartments, one of which for disabled people, with 6, 4 or 2/3 beds, all equipped with air-condition, television, hi-fi, kitchen-corner, bathroom terrace or garden. Among the olive trees there is a small pavilion for meetings, dinners etc… The buildings are ancient farmhouses restored with the utmost respect for history. Immersed in the evergreen garden, depending on the time of the year, the guests can follow the various moments of the work in the fields. The farm, led personally by the owners, produces besides citrus fruit, olive oil, fruits of various kinds and vegetables. By request and previous booking: typical Sicilian Diners, baby-sitting service, courses on Sicilian cuisine. Furthermore, from October to March is possible to take part in the citrus fruit harvest. "Antica Sena" is located 3 Km from the seaside and 11 Km from the beautiful beach of Marinello, 14 Km from Tindari (Greek Theatre), 21 Km from Milazzo (embarking to Eolian Islands), 3 Km from the Thermal Centre "Parco Augusto" (Centre Messegue), 6 Km from the little tourist harbour of Porto Rosa, 69 Km from Taormina and 120 Km from Cefalu.
