The Museum of Scales and Balances, unique in its kind in Italy, documents the history of weighing from the Roman Age to the present day: balances, platform scales, steelyards and a rich collection of documentary material such as posters, catalogues, original prints and photographic reproductions of old materials. The Museum is directly connected to the local productive area, at the same time constituting both a source of historical memory and a propulsive nerve centre of historical, technical and scientific knowledge.
