Castello di Pralormo
About
Pralormo Castle is a majestic 19th‑century fortress perched on the hill of Pralormo, tucked into the vineyards of Piedmont. Visitors can tour its stately fountains, grand hall, private chambers, and a distinctive miniature train that recreates the life and splendor of the French Count who once owned the estate. The surrounding gardens feature rolling terraces, a greenhouse, and the famed Mister Tulip botanical exhibition that draws flower‑lovers each spring. Alongside the castle’s historic interiors, a network of rural suites offers a charming, rustic overnight stay for short family get‑aways or couples’ retreats. The castle’s location, just 35 km from Turin and 29 km from Alba, allows guests to easily combine a cultural day in the castle with a tasting of local Barolo wines and the scenic hills of the Langhe valley. Due to the castle’s status as a cultural landmark, visitors are advised to arrive on Sunday mornings, when the castle gates open from 10 AM to 6 PM. For group tours of up to 15 people, daily access is permitted from March to October (excluding August). If you wish to stay overnight in one of the castle’s five rural suites, pre‑booking is required via the official Leisure & Guest Accommodation site. A short, 90‑minute guided walk through the castle’s private apartments and along the surrounding park gives travelers a rich mix of art, architecture, and pastoral scenery—ideal for families, history enthusiasts, and nature lovers alike.
