The civic museum has been located in the Neri Orselli palace since 1957. This palace, is one of the very rare examples in Montepulciano that recalls typical Sienese civil architecture from the 1300’s, but it is actually the result of centuries of heavy modifications and adaptations of several buildings fused together: today it has a brick façade of three floors along Via Ricci, a beautiful courtyard with small loggia and well; inside it is spread over 4 different levels. The museum is divided into four main sections: Archeological section, Montepulciano section, Della Robbia section, Art gallery.
