About
Villa Floridiana, also known as the National Museum of Ceramics (Museo Duca di Martina), is a neoclassical jewel perched on the Vomero hill of Naples. Built between 1817 and 1819, the villa offers visitors a blend of architectural elegance, lush English‑style gardens, and a world‑class ceramic collection that spans European and Oriental masterpieces. From the villa’s terraces you can soak in sweeping panoramas of the Gulf of Naples, while the carefully cultivated grounds host a colorful array of oaks, pines, palms and a charming colony of black stray cats that have roamed the park since 1953.
