Antica Cascina Brandimarte was the place where my parents sheltered animals during the coldest seasons. The present restaurant was occupied by the old hayloft. It was used to preserve the hay, that in the winter was the only source of nourishment for the cows. Animals were handled carefully because they were considered one of the main sources of income. An other important element was the agriculture, whose primary products were lentils, spelt, roveja (pea of wild provenance) and rye. Today Antica Cascina Brandimarte is a farm holiday, where you can relax and taste local dishes, which have made known our territory.
