Gola di Gorropu
About
The Gola di Gorropu canyon, renowned as the most spectacular canyon in Europe, opens every day from 10 AM to 2:45 PM, with visitors required to leave by 3:30 PM. The entrance ticket costs €6 for adults (18 + years) and €4 for children 6–17 years. Although the canyon itself does not require advance booking, a range of guided and self‑guided hikes are available at various difficulty levels, many of which can be reserved online through the official Gorropu excursion network. Located on the S.S. 125, near the town of Urzulei in southern Sardinia, the canyon offers stunning rock formations, a dynamic river valley, and opportunities to explore the surrounding natural and historical landscape. Whether you come for a short, leisurely walk or a challenging full‑day trek, the canyon’s dramatic scenery and wildlife make it a must‑visit destination for outdoor lovers.
