About

The Tarot Garden (Il Giardino dei Tarocchi) is a captivating sculpture park in Garavicchio, near Pescia Fiorentina, created by French‑American artist Niki de Saint‑Phalle between 1979 and 1998. The landscape is populated by twenty‑two monumental figures representing the Major Arcana of the Tarot, each sculpted in reinforced concrete and adorned with reflective mosaics and ceramics. Visitors wander through walk‑through sculptures such as the sphinx‑shaped Empress, the Tower (Chalice), and the Sun, immersing themselves in a poetic environment that blends art, mythology and landscape design. Open daily from April 1 to October 15 between 2:30 pm and 7:30 pm, the garden offers an accessible experience with free admission for children under seven, people with severe disabilities, and their carers, while adults may purchase tickets online to guarantee entry.
