Founded in 2009, the Association Sicilia Letteraria has a fundamentally educational mission aimed at both schools and the public generally. Sicilia Letteraria also engages in literary tourism and in this field has devised a number of well-received literary walks and excursions that are now listed in some of the most important tourist guides, such as Lonely Planet. These walks and excursions are inspired by novels, stories, and historical events that are important to better understand Palermo and Sicily. Taking part in these literary tours allows you to see the city through the eyes of great authors such as Lampedusa, Sciascia, Goethe and others. The tours provided by Sicilia Letteraria are available throughout the year both as calendar public events and as private services
