From the 40s to today, a story of passion, tradition and research. The Taverna laboratory was officially born in 1945, when Francesco Taverna, after working at a very young age with his father Vincenzo, decides with courage and working spirit to start the dried fruit and orange peel business. In the 1950s in Taurianova, a town in the province of Reggio Calabria, located in the Piana di Gioia Tauro, Francesco Taverna acquired the Caffè Crucitti, of the Sicilian school. Thus was born the Bar Pasticceria Taverna and it is the beginning of a fascinating experience that is still a splendid reality today. It is the result of the union between local production innovations and the tradition of the Sicilian pastry school that Francesco Taverna has been able to combine, leaving the baton to his sons Fabio and Giorgio.
