Azienda Agricola Casearia Montecoppe follows the complete food supply chain of Parmigiano Reggiano DOP within the Carrega Natural Park Forestry, a natural oasis very close to the city of Parma. The company is a perfect example of short and sustainable chain, meaning that fodder, milk and cheese are produced and transformed into the same agricultural holding. Montecoppe Cheese Factory is able to accommodate groups for guided tours inside the new dairy, designed by the world-renowned architect Guido Canali, inside which a system of elevated walkways and balustrades has been inserted that allows visitors to observe the production phases of Parmigiano Reggiano PDO from above, without interfering with the process. At the end of each visit there will be a tasting in our shop, located in an ancient building in Gothic style, in which in addition to the cheese you will find typical products of the province of Parma and other gastronomic specialties.
