Villa Franci

This is a beautifully decorated and designed bed and breakfast. It is situated about 20 minutes away from downtown Parma in the countryside bordering a national park. The ancient road between Rome and Canterbury, Via Francigena, runs right outside the villa. There is a 600 year old church right nearby. A great agriturismo restaurant, where you can have a huge, delicious local lunch, complete with wine, for about €15 per person, is very close by. Villa Franci would be an excellent place to stay if you have your own transportation. The owner is an outgoing, friendly Parma local with extensive knowledge of the entire region.
