Tenuta Travaglino
About
From medieval monastery to nineteenth-century winegrowing estate, from innovative cellar to wine tourism destination. Travaglino, the oldest winery in the Oltrepò Pavese, today cultivates more than 80 hectares of vineyards, with 400 hectares on a single tract of land, including 80 hectares planted with vines, 12 farmsteads, a historic village, and an inn. Travaglino is a world of emotions, where vines, men, and landscape reveal the complexity and beauty of an area rich in history, traditions, flavors… and an extraordinary propensity for wine growing. Travaglino adopts the principles of rational, sustainable agriculture, reducing the number of treatments to the indispensable minimum and practicing integrated pest control. This sensitive approach respects nature and those who still live and work on the Estate. Today Travaglino produces 14 labels from its hand-picked selected grapes. Cellars are available for wine tours and tastes during every season of the year, weekends included.
