For two weeks in July some of the worlds biggest names in jazz come to the Umbrian hill town of Perugia in mid summer for two weeks of full music. There are free concerts held on small venues and piazzas and headline acts on the main stage in the centre of this historic town. Between Christmas and New Year in the Umbrian hill town of Orvieto there is a smaller festival. If you would like to do more than just listen, the prestigious Berklee College of Music holds clinics during the festival with registration required.
