Carpe Diem
About
Carpe Diem is a proudly Italian pizzeria that began its story in Montesilvano in 2012, created by the passionate pair Emilio Brighigna and his wife Angelica De Berardinis. The duo brought the true Neapolitan pizza tradition—high‑hydration, airy dough, and a classic buttery crust—to Abruzzo, and soon earned a reputation for the light, digestible pastry and the signature golden‑topped pies. The restaurant’s menu evolves with the seasons, showcasing the finest regional produce, artisanal cheeses, and occasionally Slow Food‑verified ingredients that keep each dish fresh and flavorful. In addition to pizza, the kitchen offers a selection of traditional fritti, crocchè, and pasta fritters, as well as irresistible desserts that complete the meal. During holidays like Christmas and Easter, patrons can even order homemade panettone or colomba, made on-site. The Villa Raspa location, the flagship outlet, is situated on Via Italia 41 in Villa Raspa (65010), providing a sunny veranda and ample outdoor seating for guests to enjoy the warm Italian evenings from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. every day. With a welcoming smile from Angelica at the front and an intimate atmosphere, Carpe Diem invites families, couples, and pizza aficionados to experience authentic Italian cuisine in a relaxed, wheel‑chair‑accessible setting.
