Grifoglia

Once an orchard farm, Grifoglia is situated on 20 acres of sunny hillside. There are three recently created apartments within the lovely stone farmhouse and barn. The 10 meter by 4 meter pool is in full sun all day. We provide fresh vegetables and fruit from the garden at no extra cost and the drinking water is delicious spring water. Grifoglia is centrally located, about 1- 1/2 hours from the cities of Florence and Pisa, or the coast at Viareggio, and 1 hour north of Lucca, and offers opportunities for numerous day trips to historic hill towns or the beautiful coastal region of Cinque Terre. The principle city of Barga is renowned for its historic center, cathedral and summer music festivals and offers spectacular panoramic views of the local mountain ranges. The town of Coreglia Antelminelli, is known for its quiet village like historic center and has several small markets for nearby provisions. In addition to renovating the lovely old stone farm buildings, we have recently restored a beautiful and historic wayside Chapel on the property. It is ideal for intimate weddings, baptisms, and other celebrations. There is also a woodburning oven in our courtyard which we light at least once a week for pizza, baking or roasting and you're invited to join in. There are two one-bedroom apartments; one two-bedroom apartment; and one studio apartment. Each apartment has a kitchenette, a shower/bath and a sunny private terrace. The apartments are available for weekly Saturday to Saturday rentals. The property is well suited for children or a group of six adults.
