The Monte Cavallo mountain hut is immersed in nature at an altitude of 1,300 meters. Situated at the foot of the Cavallo Mountain, in Europe's greenest town Granaglione, the Mountain hut is the ideal point of departure if you want to hike by bike or on horseback, or if you want to go trekking or practice nordic walking. It is provided with 18 beds divided into 3 rooms, 2 dining halls, 1 large room for different uses (parties, meetings, conferences) and 1 café hall with fireplace. The mountain hut has been recently renovated, extended and it is now accessible for people with disabilities.The roomsThe rooms are equipped with bunk beds and closet, heating, a bathroom on the first floor and two on the upper floor.The restaurantThe mountain hut is renowned thanks to its typical cooking: homemade pasta (tortelloni, tagliatelle etc…), game, polenta (with leeks, salted codfish etc…) mushrooms, dishes made with chestnuts (necci, castagnaccio, polenta) and typical desserts.ServicesThe mountain hut is also provided with a large area with tables, benches, a wide shed and a fountain. Near the mountain hut the "Bivacco del Pellegrino" is always open and provided with a fireplace and a table. Sport & NatureThanks to its vicinity to the train stations of Porretta Terme, Molino del Pallone and Biagioni, the structure is ideal for those who would like to do sport respecting nature at the same time.
