CASETTA DELFINO - Marinella Pomonte LOCATION: Casetta Delfino is a lovely little property in the centre of the village of Pomonte. It is located in an excellent and quite position, close to the main shops, baker, ice cream shop and bar, just 2 minutes walk from the main beach of Pomonte, in pebbles and granite gravel of various sizes and from the smooth white granite cliffs that characterize the villages of Pomonte and Chiessi, cute gems of the south-western coast of the Island of Elba, called Costa del Sole, on the border between the Municipality of Marciana and the Municipality of Campo nell’Elba. We also have other properties for rent spread throughout the village. THE ROOMS: The apartment is structured on 2 levels and can accommodate up to 4 people, preferably 2 adults with a maximum of 2 children: - on the first floor there is a windowed bedroom with a double bed (cm 140 x 200) with a container - on the ground floor there is a living area with a double sofa bed (cm 140 x 190), a kitchenette with an induction hob, a fan oven, a fridge, a freezer, with a complete supply of dishes and pots for 4 people, a TV - the bathroom is on the ground floor, complete with a toilet and bidet, and has a comfortable shower with a floor finished in stuccoed pebble mosaic, a plexiglass folding shower box, a ceiling shower head and a small shower head, with a small window. THE ENTRANCE PORCH: The apartment is accessed from a private pedestrian alley of less than 10 meters between the ice cream shop and the baker. You are in a private interior from which you access the fenced porch of Casetta Delfino, equipped with a table and chairs for eating and deckchairs for relaxing outdoors. COMFORT AND FACILITIES: Casetta Delfino offers, despite its limited space, all the comfort and functionality for a relaxing holiday, between the sea and the mountains. The apartment has air conditioning with an air conditioner in the living area, a TV with Tivusat decoder, free WIFI. The house is Full Electric, there are no gas cylinders. PARKING: You can stop the car to unload your luggage 10 meters from the property, but we have a parking lot reserved for Casetta Delfino guests just under 50 meters away (the parking lot is not shaded). PET FRIENDLY: Animals are welcome if they are used to living in an apartment and cannot be abandoned in the house or on the porch alone without the presence of their owners. On Elba Island you can take your four-legged friends to almost all the beaches, even to the bathing establishments, respecting a few simple rules on bathing (which vary depending on the municipality and on which we will give you more information), you can take them with you to the shops, restaurants and above all on our beautiful paths where they will certainly be happier. POMONTE Pomonte is a characteristic seaside village divided between the Municipalities of Marciana and Campo nell’Elba, on the western coast of the Island of Elba, known for tourism as the Costa del Sole, which from the slopes of Monte Capanne lies on the sea revealing a land characterized by a rich biodiversity, warmed by the sun until its unmissable breathtaking sunset on Corsica. Pomonte is a picturesque village divided between the sea and the mountains that form a precious frame to the valley of the same name, crossed by ditches, streams and old mule tracks, now transformed into paths for hikers among the Mediterranean scrub that historically allowed the peasant inhabitants to reach the persistent terraces cultivated with heroic vineyards. Pomonte is also a perfect base for visiting Elba and its thousand natural facets, with a return home galvanized by the most beautiful sunset visible on the Island. THE WRECK The main attraction of Pomonte is the Elviscot Wreck, a merchant ship that sank in 1972 near the Ogliera rock. Just 160 meters from the shore, it is easily reached by swimming and offers a thrilling spectacle; the two parts of the wreck lie on a seabed of about 12 meters, but the control cabin reaches almost 2 meters just below the surface. The wreck has been chosen as the home of all the local fish and you can enjoy a unique spectacle immersed among hundreds of saddled breams and damselfish in a splendid blue water. THE BEACHES OF POMONTE THE “WRECK BEACH” is made up of small dark pebbles, is not very large and is largely occupied by a beach resort under concession (from June to September). THE “SPIAGGIA DELLE SCALETTE” is the easiest to reach in the country, it is made up of pebbles and white granite gravel of various sizes, it is completely free, with easy access to the sea even for the smallest children. The northernmost part of the Pomonte coast is characterized by a large smooth white granite cliff, “IL CALELLO”, with slightly sloping seabeds that allow easy descent and ascent from the water.
