"The colours of burned earth being a source of inspiration for the artists" An old "casale" of the thirties, alongside the road which from Modica leads to the Frigintini hills. It's a peaceful place, where one can meditate, which used to be the shelter of the sicilian artist Liliana Guarino, which was recently transformed Into a very pleasant country-house. This casale looks over wide stretches of olive trees and carobs and melts perfectly with the variety of the landscape, the colours of burned earth being a source of inspiration for the artists. Therefore, the approx. 10 Acres of the place were willingly left wild. The swimming pool, having an uncomun shape, is perfectly blended in with the surroundings and the "muretti a secco"( typical dry stone walls). The Artist home will provide fresh shelter up to 8 guests (but it will be possible to increase this number by adding additional beds); in summer time it will be very pleasant to have breakfast all together in "the bagghiu", the courtyard kept in the typical colours of Sicily. The breakfast will certainly contain some "carrubo"- honey and " impanatigli ", a pastry made of chopped meat, almonds and chocolate. The casale holds a strategic position for historical and nature excursions: the beaches of Pozzallo, Marina di Monica and Sampieri are at a 15 minutes' drive distance.While the baroque towns of Modica and Scicli are just a short step away .
