Villa Vallerosa is a splendid 1800 residence, immediately North of Rome, in the heart of the Tiber valley and the legendary Sabine hills. The Villa is a prestigious building with a breathtaking view. The Villa is situated in the center of a vast agricultural property producing olive oil, wine, vegetables and fruits and the farm is also an important horse breeding center. The country estate is in an exceptionally quiet countryside setting. All the apartments have a terrace or a garden and are furnished with antiques.The owners are fun-loving, friendly and speak excellent English. The charming old hay barn has been restored in the garden of the villa and it is now available for the guests to use also as a meeting room. An large terracotta stove heats up the sitting side of it with the old piano ready for small concerts and musical entertainments. Plenty of tourist information along with books and maps are available too. Ladder steps into the poolThis beautiful country residence is located in northern Lazio, an hour north of Rome near the southern border of Umbria. The charm of this relatively unknown area, with its olive groves and vineyards and its proximity to the medieval and renaissance delights of Italy, makes it a wonderful place for a perfectly relaxing and cultural holiday. Here, you are within easy reach of the hill towns of Etruria, Umbria and southern Tuscany: Orvieto and Assisi are each only 70km away, while Rome and Viterbo (with all the Etruscan sites) are 50km. Also within easy reach for daytrips are Perugia, Arezzo and Siena. The train station, with a frequent service to Rome, is only 5km away and the local village, with shops, restaurants and a fine medieval centre is within walking distance at only 1.5km away.
