The "Ecomuseo Casilino a Duas Lauros" is a territorial museum institution, located in the 5th Municipality of Rome. The Ecomuseum is not a building to be visited, but a territory to be explored, in order to appreciate the cultural, environmental and landscape heritage it preserves. Our mission is to safeguard and enhance this heritage, scattered in a large sector of the first eastern suburbs of Rome, along two ancient roads: via Casilina and via Prenestina. The Ecomuseum must be explored on foot or bike, with a local guide, according to thematic itineraries built together with local communities.
