Rome is world famous for the Colosseum, the Pope, its ruins and last but not least for its culinary tradition. Punto di cottura organize a food and wine tour in the Eternal City. During a half-day course you will have at your disposal a cooking teacher who will accompany you on an exciting culinary trip in the Prati district. The tour will start from Via Fabio Massimo, a few blocks from St. Peter's Basilica, home of the cooking school Punto di Cottura. The first stop will be a visit to a typical local market: you can buy local products, seasonal ingredients and knowing secrets and recipes of food for sale. After two greedy stages in some of the most distinctive gastronomic emporia of the city we will stay together for a refreshing break in an old coffee among the most characteristic of the capital. At this point you are ready to begin an exciting lecture on Roman cuisine, its origins and the most features of its traditional recipes. The menu, which will vary according to the season, will consist of an appetizer, first course, main course and dessert. All preparations will be linked to the culinary tradition of Rome. At the end of the course the students will consume the food prepared in a convivial atmosphere, gathered around a dining table grade. The meal is accompanied by a small selection of wines from the region.
