The gallery gives great attention to paintings composed in Rome and in Lazio during the 19th century. Recta also focuses on the Italian regional schools and communities of artists (Scapigliati, School of Posillipo, Macchiaioli, etc.). Continuing with the twentieth century, is fascinated by avant-gardism, the currents and movements characterising the evolution of European painting and sculpture.
