Quality Lodgings in the Heart of Rome Comfort and class in the ancient quarter of Trastevere, mirror of Rome in its most authentic guise. We await you in our home, located in Piazza Sonnino on the top floor of an early 19th century "palazzo", with spectacular views of the Eternal City. Planned for non-smokers, our lodgings are equipped with free Wi-Fi and Internet connections, elevator and full air-conditioning. A full breakfast is not included, but you can begin the day with a lovely espresso coffee or tea right in your room. In the immediate neighborhood there are numerous bars and cafes where you can have breakfast any time in the morning. We will be at your service, available to provide you with a free map of the city and all manner of advice and information that will be of use to you during your stay, including museum visits, taxi reservations and dinners in typical Trastevere restaurants. Luggage deposit and shuttle to/from airport or train station are available upon request. Although we love animals, pets are not allowed to stay with us. Our "Window on Rome" consists of four rooms, each with a name: "Gianicolo", "Il Campanile", "Aventino" and "Campidoglio". There is also a mini-apartment: "Trastevere", with a small but fully equipped kitchen corner. All the rooms are bright and spacious, with autonomous heating and air-conditioning. There is a private bathroom with shower and hair-dryer in each room, plus Satellite TV LCD 32", a mini-bar with a Lavazza machine for espresso coffee and tea and, last but not least, a safe-deposit box. The rooms are comfortable and sound-proofed to guarantee maximum tranquility and privacy. It is possible to add a baby cot on request with a small extra charge. Where we are In view of our privileged location, it is easy to reach (or even walk to!) very many important places of cultural interest: Santa Maria in Trastevere, St. Peter's Basilica, Castel Sant'Angelo, the Jewish Ghetto, Piazza Venezia, the "Bocca della Verita" (="Mouth of Truth"), the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, Campo de' Fiori, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Directly below our "palazzo" one can visit the site of the ancient "Excubitorium della VII Coorte dei Vigili" (= the Barracks of the 7th Cohort of the Roman Fire Brigade), from the 2nd century A.D.!
