About
Villa Romana di Minori was built in the 1st century as a Roman villa on the Amalfi Coast. The site features an elaborate system of baths (thermae), a central swimming pond surrounded by living quarters, and a richly decorated triclinium whose mosaics were restored in the 1990s. Excavations began in the 1930s and have uncovered a Roman garden (viridarium) and other surviving elements of a class‑elite retreat. Today the ruins are open to the public as a protected archaeological site, offering a tangible link to the Roman presence on the Mediterranean coast.
