IL PINO Poggibonsi. Organic farm between San Gimignano, Florence and Siena. In 1965, three generations of farmers, Giovanbattista, Vincenzo and Giovanni Mannino, gave birth to the “Il Pino” farm. Today the love for the land and its fruits hasn’t changed by a whisker, so much so that the new Mannino generation, that is Matteo and Gabriele, perpetuates a family tradition made of will and trust. 20 hectares of vineyard. Divided between: black Sangiovese, Tuscan Trebbiano, round leaf Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot Montepulciano, Alicante boushet. 15 hectares of olive grove. All, of course, strictly organic. 49 hectares of alfalfa, pastures and woods. Animals. 12 Limousine cows and 15 Pomarancine sheep complete the panorama of flora and fauna of the farm, demonstrating how the love for one’s work can defy time and grow constantly, in full harmony with the environment.
