My wife Federica and I had a secret dream, that was to give life to a place that could express our personalities and our wish for guests to really enjoy our typical local food This is the story of the “Il Vecchio Tinaio”, our trattoria and pizzeria where you will feel like family and where all the food you can taste is seasonal, fresh and of top quality. Our menu has deep roots in our food tradition and it is closely linked to Siena and Tuscany and to the culture of simple ingredients for a perfect life style. Il Vecchio Tinaio is surrounded by nature and only a few meters from Merse River. We look forward to the pleasure of meeting you and let you enjoy delicious food in a relaxing atmosphere. By the way, do you know the meaning of the word “tinaio”? “Tinaio” was once the place that in farmhouses was devoted to the wine production area and “tino” was the old name for barrel.
